"This is really irresponsible and dangerous behaviour," Transport for NSW's Bernard Carlon said.<\/p>\n
"This bicycle rider has put his own life at risk, but not only that, he's put the lives of the motorists at risk as well."<\/p>\n
Police confirmed this afternoon they had spoken with a 35-year-old, who is alleged to be the rider.<\/p>\n
He was issued three traffic infringement notices for riding against traffic, not wearing a helmet, and riding negligently.<\/p>\n
He was fined more than $1000 but not charged.<\/p>\n
Transport for NSW have cautioned against the stunt.<\/p>\n
"Already we've had five fatalities this year of bike riders, and more than 1800 bike riders admitted to hospital last year," Carlon said.<\/p>\n
